Deposits/Cancellations:
A 50% deposit is required at time of reservation. We accept Discover, Visa and Mastercard.
Rates are based on double occupancy. All cancellations will incur a $25 fee. All cancellations
received less than 72 hours prior to scheduled arrival will be charged in full unless we are able
to resell the room. Holiday rates are subject to change. Children 12 and over welcome.
Check In: 3-6pm or by asking for an alternative time. Please call if you will be later than 6pm
Check Out: By 11am.
Pets: We do have a mascot on site, a 17 year-old cat, named Ed. Ed is banned from the second floor where guests stay. Sorry, no other pets.

The Pratt-Taber, with an elegant Italianate design, was built in 1876 as a single family home. The finest materials were used to decorate the house... walnut for the intricate staircase and butternut for the massive doors, fireplace mantles and floors, slate for the fireplaces.
During the 1950’s the house was turned into apartments and fell into neglect. Extensive remodeling took place in the 1980’s when the house was renovated to become a B&B.
In 2005, a fresh new renovation took place when Deb Bylander purchased Pratt-Taber and lovingly restored the inn to reflect simple elegance and vintage décor. Deb has decorated the inn with her own touch of magic by using beautiful fabrics, unique painting techniques coupled with artistic wallpapers and classic timeless furnishings.
Deb is proud to be a recipient of the Red Wing Heritage Preservation Award for 2008. Remarkable people helped Deb with the restoration adding to the new positive energy of the inn. Deb’s philosophy for the inn is one of renewal, revitalization, and reuse. She strongly believes in saving our future by saving our past. “Treat yourselves to small things…Go back to the basics…Use what we already have…Go Green…” is the foundation that the new Pratt –Taber now stands on.
